Ocean Rig owns and operates the two drilling rigs Leiv Eiriksson and Eirik Raude and the four drill ships Ocean Rig Corcovado, Ocean Rig Olympia, Ocean Rig Poseidon and Ocean Rig Mykonos.
All six units are constructed for Ultra Deep Waters and Harsh Environment.
The Leiv Eiriksson has drilled deep water and ultra deep water wells in Angola, Congo, Norway, UK, Ireland, Turkey and Greenland whilst working for Exxon, BP, Chevron, Total, Shell, Petrobras and Cairn Energy.
The Eirik Raude has drilled deep water and ultra deep water wells in Canada, US Gulf of Mexico, Cuba, Norway, Ghana whilst working for Encana, PetroCanada, Imperial Oil, Repsol, StatoilHydro, ENI, Exxon, Chevron and Tullow Oil.
The rig drilled 4 wells in the Barents Sea under extreme harsh weather conditions.
Ocean Rig Corcovado has drilled wells under extreme harsh weather conditions for Cairn Energy offshore Greenland and is currenly being modified for operations for Petrobras in Brasil.
Ocean Rig Olympia has drilled deep water and ultra deep water wells for Vanco in Ghana and Ivory Coast.
Ocean Rig Poseidon has drilled wells offshore Tanzania for Petrobras
Ocean Rig Mykonos is mobilizing for operations for Petrobras in Brasil.
